Two Top Chef alumni are scheduled to open their new restaurants in New York City some time in the next few months.

Chef Hung Hyunh, winner of the Top Chef Trophy in 2007, is scheduled to open a seafood restaurant in the meatpacking district on September 19th. The menu will feature dishes such as seared scallops with tamarind brown butter and the white chocolate cauliflower purée he became known for on the show. Set in a three level structure, fully equipped with a glass covered rooftop, this restaurant is sure to add to the style and class of NYC dining.

Chef Floyd Cardoz, a winner on Bravo’s “Top Chef Master”, is scheduled to open his North End Grill in Battery Park in December. Many residents of Battery Park are greatly anticipating the opening of the restaurant in hopes that it will boost the culture and nightlife in the area. The grill will feature different flavors and dishes from around the world, as well as fresh seafood, and a fully stocked scotch bar.
