The 2011 New York Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Children’s Gala

Calling all fashionable philanthropists for the 2011 New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s Protecting Kids First! Gala, scheduled to take place on November 10 at the famous Plaza Hotel. Founded in 1875, the NYSPCC is the world’s first child protection agency dedicated to the needs of abused and neglected children. Three very special people are being honored this year with the NYSPCC’s Strength of Our Society Award: Vice Chairman of Newmark Knight Frank, Mark S. Weiss, and New York Knicks’ Assistant General Manager and his wife, Allan and Tamara Houston.

On the lighter side, there will be a special performance by singer Lynda Carter, along with yummy bites and beverages. Journalist Deborah Norville will serve as emcee for the event. Other notable guests to be expected include Amanda & Neil Friedman, Jacquie & Jerry Storch and Deborah Norville & Karl Wellner. Tickets start at $600 dollars for this black tie event and are worth every penny.
