Nippon Tuck

News | September 5, 2011

Satsuma, Soho’s urban-style Japanese restaurant, has opened its doors for business once more following an extensive three month refurbishment.

While the restaurant keeps Satsuma’s signature colour scheme of orange and grey and floor-to-ceiling glass frontage overlooking Soho’s quirky shops, the authentic Japanese eatery now features ultra cool pod style seating. The futuristic pods, which can seat up to four people, are enclosed on four sides with windows in the roof to allow in subtle lighting.

But enough about the décor, what of the food? Satsuma has shifted its focus to specialize in Japanese katsu curries including chicken, salmon, soft shell crab, mixed tempura, aubergine and spicy beef which work well when accompanied by classic sticky rice, udon or soba noodles.  Assorted Katsu platters are also available and lend themselves well to sharing with friends.
