Haute 100 Update: The Spurs’ Tony Parker – Next Celebrity Chef?
For San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker’s latest project, he traded in the court for the kitchen. Although the NBA star did spend some time playing in an Olympic qualifying tournament this summer, he also took on the role as the new face of Toupargel, a French food home delivery program.
Parker, who currently plays for the Spurs here in the U.S. and France’s national team, is one of France’s shining celebrities so Toupargel jumped on the chance to snag him as their pitchman.
The advertisements – in French – will air starting this month through November and will feature the handsome ballplayer donning an apron and cooking for his friends. Parker, however, is no stranger to starring in commercials. Earlier this year, he played God in a Heaven populated solely by women and one lone man in a commercial for Axe body spray.
