Haute 100 Update: ‘Expendables 2’ Gears Up for Filming – with a Bigger, Better Cast to Include Van Damme, Norris, and Others

Filming for the sequel to last year’s high-profile action star-packed The Expendables, directed by Sylvester Stallone, is gearing up in Bulgaria – this time with even more star power added to the already very impressive cast list.

Simon West’s The Expendables 2 has confirmed the return of the original’s iconic action stars and has now confirmed the addition of Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Scott Adkins, and Liam Hemsworth.

The new stars will be joining the stellar line-up that already includes Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, and other illustrious action names.

Van Damme’s addition to the cast is a huge boost to the star value of the film, as he is universally regarded as one of film’s most iconic action stars. Although not much is yet known of his role in the sequel – besides the fact that there will be a big showdown between him and Stallone – his character will apparently be flanked by henchmen, one of which Adkins will play.
