Glashutte Celebrates Launch Of Seventies Panaroma Date

News | September 22, 2011

Luxury watch brand Glashutte Original, celebrated the launch of its timepiece, Seventies Panaroma Date, with a 70’s themed event at The Standard Hotel September 19th.

The evening featured a throwback to the decade with 70’s designed furniture, music by DJ spinning vinyl and specialty drinks such as Tom Collins and Cuba Libre.

Seventies Panaroma Date collection features three new models, tribute to both German design and the traditions of mechanical watchmaking in Glashütte. The flowing curves of the streamlined steel case capture the spirit of the decade in a fascinating, iconic design. The dial, fashioned of German silver, is presented in galvanized silver, galvanized ruthenium, or blue. The ruthenium dial presents a sunburst surface, while the silver version is beautifully matt. The blue dial features finely graded shading passing from a lighter centre to a darker periphery.

Along with the Seventies Panaroma Date collection, other watches were featured from the brand’s four pillars: Quintessentials, Art & Technik, 20th Century Vintage and the Ladies Collection.
