Catherine Malandrino does Fashion’s Night Out, skips Fashion Week
Women’s wear designer Catherine Malandrino has decided not to show a collection at New York Fashion Week 2011. Malandrino cites the namesake label “is in a time of transition” and will be back in February. The Fashion Week cancellation follows rumors of the labels business woes in addition to talks of a merger with clothing conglomerate Kellwood, both rumors have yet to materialize.
All is not lost Malandrino fans, the designer will host a runway show sponsored by Clairol and Covergirl during Fashion’s Night Out featuring this season’s looks styled by celebrity stylist, June Ambrose.
