Haute Event: Kimberly Bacardi’s Birthday Fundraiser for “Food For The Poor” at Bang & Olufsen

News | August 31, 2011

This past week Haute Living was invited to the last hoorah of the socialite summer in Miami. Kimberly Shenker-Bacardi celebrated her birthday by doing what she does best, helping those in need and having a good time doing it. The birthday celebration took place at Bang and Olufsen’s new Lincoln Road showroom where Kimberly Shenker-Bacardi was recognized for her dedication and committed philanthropic endeavors through “Kim’s Good Karma Group,” where all proceeds benefited “Food For The Poor.”

The party was a who’s who of the Miami elite and a successfully coordinated event by Advantage PR to bring together a great night of festivities and purpose. All guests present were treated to a myriad of culinary champagne and caviar delights as they danced and bid on donated auction Items to raise funds for charity. One of the highlights was a personal preview of Bang & Olufsen’s new state of the art, BeoVision 4, 85 inch, 3-D, $85,000 Plasma Pannel at a thousand dollars an inch.

The guest list brought in a very distinguished, gracious, group of socialites from far and wide for this end of summer fundraiser. Some of those spotted at this elite event were: Miccosukee Indian Princess Rhonda Billie, Baroness Anka Birgu, The Real Housewives of Miami ‘s Adriana De Moura, Bollywood Star Somy Ali, up and coming artists;Justin Reynolds and Ariel Rose, Bina Kohl, Maria Elena Holguin, Ruben Campbell, Lynn & Michael Fichman, Monica Puig, Marleen & son Charlie Bury, Gary Edward Baily, Stephen Gamson, Celine Leora, Patricia Turner, Marsa Black, and our hosts from Bang & Olufsen Per Bokmand and Hugo Mantilla.

Kimberly was a beacon of joy throughout the evening joined by her son Gian Luis Bacardi and daughter Ruby Bacardi, heirs to the Bacardi Empire. The gift bags sponsored by A Nose For Clothes were filled to the brim with gifts from local business’ and supporters as a parting, thank you, for all that donated to “Food For The Poor”. This was definitely a Haute event our conscience thanked us for.
