Haute 100 Update: Donald Trump Reconsiders Running for President

After leading many to think he may run for President, Haute 100 Miami member Donald Trump revealed that that would not be the case by declaring on May 16, “I am not ready to leave the private sector.” Regardless of his previous statements, however, it looks more recently like Trump might actually be serious about his position in the White House.

Trump told CNBC recently, “If the economy continues to be bad…if the Republicans pick the wrong candidate I would give it very, very serious thought. There are so many people wanting me to do it.” When he toyed with the media about a White House bid earlier this year, many people were shocked while some responded in support of it.

If Trump does decide to pursue the position, however, he will be doing so on his own terms. He has revealed that he would go out there without affiliation with Democrats or Republicans and will run as an Independent or third-party candidate. Whether you love him or hate him, you have to admire the Donald’s persistence.
