Happy Birthday CoCo Chanel, August 19th at Saks Fifth Avenue

August 19^th is Coco Chanel’s birthday.  To stylishly celebrate, drop by Saks Fifth Avenue where they will be fêting with macron and champagne at the Chanel fragrance counter.  It would only be appropriate for Saks to showcase the Chanel N.19, named aptly in honor of Coco’s birthday.

Chanel N.19 was created especially for Coco Chanel by Master Perfumer Henri Robert in 1971, the year before she died.   It’s a rich blend of floral and balsamic green notes, followed by May Rose and Iris from Florence.  The lingering scent finishes with a hint of Chypre with a subtle, woody Vetiver note.  As Coco described it, “Audacious and assertive.  Never conventional”.
