There’s nothing quite as despicable as a ponzi scheme and the pathetic perpetrator behind it. High-profile Fort Lauderdale, FL attorney Scott Rothstein ran his ponzi scheme through his law firm and leeched innocent peoples’ money, buying himself an array of lavish things – perhaps most notably his incredible collection of luxury timepieces.

According to Perpetuelle, his collection is likely the largest to ever be seized by federal authorities in connection to a crime like this and, on Wednesday, July 13, Rothstein’s 262-piece haul is set to be auctioned off. At the start of the year, Rothstein pled guilty to five federal charges of racketeering, money laundering, and fraud for his immense $1.2 billion scheme and is now a convicted criminal facing 50 years in the slammer.
