Haute 100 Update: Sean “Diddy” Combs Drops in to Volunteer at London Park and Youth Center

News | July 21, 2011

Haute 100 Miami member Sean “Diddy” Combs may be an international superstar, but that doesn’t mean he won’t get his hands dirty. Prior to his performance at the Orange RockCorps at London’s Wembley Arena with Kelis and Primal Scream, the mogul and hip-hop star rolled up his sleeves along with 50 volunteers to help clean up central London’s Toffee Park Adventure Playground and Youth Center.

Combs was invited to paint a canvas to be displayed at the site, which was designed and created 20 years ago by local students to provide a safe and secure location for children to play. The volunteers who worked alongside “Diddy” were members of the Orange RockCorps program, a volunteer organization that offers members tickets for music concerts in exchange for four hours of community work.

The volunteers present that day were helping to maintain the playground, painting murals, and building an urban beach. They were not informed of the hip-hop star’s arrival, so the visit from Combs was certainly a pleasant surprise to his fans who were working towards earning tickets to his show.
