Drybar’s Newest Debut

Women of San Francisco prepare for an experience that will blow your hair back. Los Angeles’ insanely popular Drybar has arrived in the Bay Area, upscale Fillmore Street to be exact. The Southern California sensation named one of the top “100 Brilliant Ideas of 2010” by Entrepreneur Magazine has teamed up with San Francisco residents Lindsay and Tom Glaser to bring Drybar to its new 1,000 square-foot location.

“San Francisco is the perfect location for us as we expand beyond Los Angeles. The women of San Francisco are 100% our audience – fashionable, sophisticated and they appreciate affordable luxury,” said Drybar president and co-founder Alli Webb. “Since we opened our first location in Los Angeles, the requests for a San Francisco location have been non-stop. When we found our ideal venue on one of Fillmore Street’s hottest blocks, we knew it was a perfect fit!”

The idea for Drybar came to Toni & Guy trained stylist Webb when she was fed up with paying absurd amounts for blowouts at her salon. Now Drybar regulars include the likes of Jennifer Love Hewitt, Zooey Deschanel, Maria Shriver, Whitney Port and Nicky Hilton among many others. Rose McGowan was such a fan that she became an investor.

The San Francisco location which offers blowouts for a mere $35 features luxe décor, tufted Italian seating, marble bars equipped with iPhone docking stations, gourmet refreshments, fruit-infused water and flat screen televisions playing much adored chick flicks on a loop.

“I knew that if we created a fun experience in a beautiful atmosphere where ladies could get an incredible blowout at an affordable price, they would come running. And come running they did!” exclaimed Webb. Now the women of San Francisco have the convenience of a celebrity worthy blowout right at their fingertips.
