Buccellati In Beverly Hills Celebrates Italy’s 150th Anniversary During “Gioiello” Week

News | July 7, 2011

In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Italian Unification, from June 18 to 26, special events and offerings centered on Italian style, cuisine, cars and cinema were available throughout the City of Beverly Hills. As a part this celebration that takes its name from Federico Fellini’s classic Italian film, “La Dolce Vita,” the Italian Trade Commission organized a “Gioiello Week”, a showcase of designs from the most respected Italian jewelers on Rodeo Drive and in Beverly Hills.

To celebrate “Gioiello” Week, the esteemed Buccellati boutique served Italian red and white wines to guests all week and featured a colorful window display of decorative Italian flags. The Buccellati name has been at the forefront of the high-end jewelry business since the mid-eighteenth century, when Contardo Buccellati first opened his store in Via degli Orafi in Milano. Since then, Bucellati has won the favor of the most discriminating clientele, including the royal houses of Italy, Belgium, Spain and Egypt, as well as the Vatican. To this day, Buccellati continues to produce jewelry that is outstanding in its artisanship through its employment of only the most skilled craftsmen in mainly small workshops across Italy.
