Special Father’s Day menu at the Pineapple Room

News | June 8, 2011

Mothers aren’t the only ones in the family who love brunch.

Fathers get the special treatment at chef Alan Wong’s elegant The Pineapple Room at Ala Moana Center on June 19.

And this is no ordinary brunch buffet.

The carving station features Maui prime rib with horseradish sour cream and house-made porchetta with pickled onions. The buffet boasts traditional breakfast items — French toast, roasted home-style potatoes — with pan-steamed mahimahi, garlic chicken, ahi poke, chilled crab claws and Kuahiwi Ranch paniolo beef stew. And of course, there’s dessert, including Hawaiian vanilla panna cotta and Kula strawberry jam, haupia cake, coconut flan and the restaurant’s popular chocolate crunch bars.

Brunch is served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $47.50 per adult, $23.75 for children 6 to 12. Reservations are highly recommended. Call (808) 945-6573.
