Hautels: Luxurious New Conrad Hotel to Open in NYC’s Financial District

News | June 1, 2011

The esteemed Conrad group of global luxury hotels and resorts will be opening its fifth property in the United States in New York City’s bustling Financial District during the fourth quarter of 2011. The elegant 462-room hotel will take over the site formerly occupied by the Embassy Suites New York at the prime location of 102 North End Avenue at Vesey Street.

In the heart of the Financial District, the new Conrad will sit with the Hudson River to the west and the new Freedom Tower to the east, and will be within a short distance from New York’s famed landmarks, including the New York Stock Exchange, South Street Seaport, and Battery Park, just to name a few.

The grand hotel features a magnificently sunlit 15-story atrium lobby that houses a striking Sol LeWitt art piece that soars 13 floors above the front desk. Luxurious guestrooms – designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, Office dA, and Remedios Studios – are expansive with a minimum of two flat-panel televisions, and an array of high-tech electronic features. Outside of guestrooms, the lavish hotel will be home to upscale dining and beverage options as well as a 15,000-square foot meeting space outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and an opulent Grand Ballroom.
