Haute Event: The Junior League of San Francisco’s 85th Annual Fashion Show

The Junior League of San Francisco (JLSF) held their 85th Annual Fashion Show on April 8, also commemorating their 100th anniversary. The fashion show, produced by Macy’s was held at the luxurious Fairmont Hotel. The runway models consisted of Junior League members and their families. Fashion show segments included Rachel Roy, Mad Men, Ocean View, Rainforest, Urban Island, and Studio 54. The closing segment by Diamonds are Forever featured many beautiful gowns by Sue Wong, Ralph Lauren, and Calvin Klein. Lancome helped the models glow with their amazing makeup.

This year’s fashion show featured a fashionable luncheon and black-tie gala dinner and dance with silent auctions. Diamond necklaces from Shreve and Co. Were show cased, as well as a variety of trips to exotic locations, and a party for 20 at the Fairmont Penthouse.

This year’s event sponsors included Macy’s, the Fairmont Hotel, and Paypal all whom which showed much support. The JLSF Fashion Show has provided the community with more than six million volunteer hours and over $22 million. This is the longest running event of its kind in the country, as well as an elite San Francisco event.
