Haute Event: Roberto Cavalli Celebrates Boutique Opening in Cannes
On Wednesday, May 18, fashion legend Roberto Cavalli took over land and sea with the opening of his first boutique in Cannes. In celebration of the new 2,150-square-foot store on the legendary Boulevard de la Croisette, the icon and his ever-elegant wife Eva hosted a star-studded cocktail party at the new spot and then took the party to the sea with an intimate gathering aboard his yacht, the RC, and a vibrant beach party as the yacht sat moored opposite the Palais des Festivals.
Although Cavalli has confessed that his favorite spot in Cannes is aboard his yacht, he extended the party to the beach to accommodate for more of his VIP guest list, including Brooke Shields, Luke Evans, Bar Rafaeli, Ronnie Wood, Rosario Dawson, Janet Jackson, and Irina Shayk, just to name a few. Across the water from the boutique, the chic beach party had guests lounging on large, brightly colored cushions, sipping cocktails, mingling, and dancing the night away to sultry sounds by DJ Cecile Togni.
