Haute Event: PONCHO Raises Wine Glasses and Funds for the Arts

News | May 20, 2011

Long legs and full bodies attracted wine connoisseurs on Tuesday night, May 17, to celebrate 20 years of PONCHO’s International Wine Auction. PONCHO (Patrons of Northwest Civic, Cultural, and Charitable Organizations), an organization geared to support the arts, garnered more than $800,000 to benefit their cause through the sales of the featured expressions.

Red carpets were rolled out, bulbs flashed, and pockets emptied as guests of the evening, hosted by Duell Fisher founder of Team Photogenic, enjoyed a silent auction, barrel tasting by Cadence winery, assorted open bars, and plenty of culinary carousing.

Auction Chair Tamara Wilson of Wilson Public Relations, Mistress of Ceremonies Patti Payne, and former Christie’s auctioneer Fritz Hatton rallied the animated local elitists. The charitable event was a success by all measures and destined to continue it streak.
