Apple Tops List of World’s Most Valuable brands

In keeping up with all things haute, we must take a moment to announce that Apple has surpassed Google as the world’s most valuable brand, according to Millward Brown’s annual BrandZ ranking of the world’s top 100 brands.

With an estimated value of $153 billion, Apple has gained significant advantage over Google, who is listed at number two on the list at $111.5 billion. With the iPhone, iPad, and other constant innovations that Apple keeps rolling out, even with Steve Jobs’ leave of absence, the brand continues to plunge forward. Other brands who made it into the top 10: IBM, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, AT&T, and Marlboro, China Mobile, and General Electric.

In the luxury sector, Louis Vuitton still reigns for the sixth year in a row, with an estaimted value of $24.3 billion. notes that this is almost more than the combined values of Hermès, Gucci, and Chanel combined!
