Haute Event: Loft 1513 Presents MonTree

This past Thursday, New York designer, Monica Wontorski of MonTree launched her premiere collection The Bohemian Revolution at Loft 1513. The evening was filled with eager fashionistas yearning over MonTree’s intricate, exclusive and eco-friendly pieces that will only be featured at Loft 1513 in San Francisco.

The intimate setting and street side window fashion show left passerbyers struck with allure and a hint of glam. The evening began with bohemian inspired acts and entertainment in order to set the mood for the redefined fashion show. The quaint interior of the boutique is built with misconception in mind as the backdoor ushers to an unpredictable flight of stairs that lead to a bohemian lit and inspired garden. Performances reined the dimly lit backyard of Loft 1513 as jesters, tango dancers and poets acted out the inspiration behind the clothing.

As the festivities came to an end, the fashionistas were ready to begin. It was time for MonTree to show us the purpose of our anticipated gathering. The models casually strutted through the cluster of adorning onlookers and made their way into the front store’s window. The live window display presentation was a creative way to showcase MonTree’s perfect combination of embroidery, lace and linens.

Monica Wontorski’s petite figure can barely contain the energy behind her line and mission. What started as fashion has evolved into something more, she is on a mission to help women. All of her eco-friendly fabrics come directly from women in countries like Guam and Peru. She is well on her way to making a difference while creating timeless style that is consciously radiant in demeanor and fit.
