Hautos: China on Fast Track to Become World’s Top Lamborghini Consumer

China, which has already broken away from its economic crisis, is about to leave the U.S. and the rest of the Universe in a plume of road dust.  This productive fiscal year for the Asian sensation has the world nattering with envy as they race the fast-track to become the world’s top consumer of road-spanking Lamborghinis.

Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of the luxury Italian brand said, “I believe that China will become our most important market this year,” Winkelmann told reporters at the Shanghai auto show. “I think it is even going to become the No. 1 market already this year.

According to the NY Post, he also told reporters that China is pushing the U.S. to No. 2 for the first time.

The newest addition to the Lamborghini name is the Aventador LP 700-4, named for a ballsy and resilient bull that wowed a Spanish crowd in Zaragoza Arena in 1993. The namesake is sure to wow car aficionados with doors that open vertically, its ability to hit 62 mph in 2.9 seconds, and a max speed of 217 mph.  With a cool $364,000 price tag, Americans need to start working under the hood of their economy if they wish to contend with this kind of horsepower.
