Hautels: Langham Place Beijing Capital Airport Unveils Art Exhibition and Club Level

The new artistic talents of Beijing are currently being showcased in Langham Place Beijing Capital Airport hotel at its 24-hour Art Gallery Spring Art Exhibition with the theme of “Childhood and Growing Up.”

“Inspired by springtime rebirth and new beginnings, this exhibition looks at childhood and the uncomfortable transformation into adulthood as seen by a talented group of young artists who themselves are reflecting on newfound maturity and confidence,” says Langham Place Beijing Capital Airport’s Art Gallery Curator, Tom Pattinson.

Featured artists include Liu Tingting, Zhang Lin, Guo Kaijun, Lv Guangang, Wang Xipeng, Chen Fei and Yu Meijuan. The works include a series of colourful portraits by Liu Tingting entitled ‘The Annoyance of Growing’. In contrast, Lv Guangang – who, at 40, is one of the older exhibiting artists – depicts the anonymity and uniformity of children growing up in early 1970s China, and their ability to find enjoyment in even the darkest of playthings. All art pieces are for sale, and the exhibition will run until mid-June.

The hotel has also recently unveiled its club floor rooms and split-level Club L Lounge overlooking the airport. Available to all club floor guests, the lounge is divided into four unique zones: Relax, Refuel, Replay and Revitalise. Relax features massage chairs, Refuel offers a round-the-clock buffet, while Replay has PS3 machines and a pool table. Revitalise, meanwhile, provides guests with the chance to freshen up, with rain showers, spa products and guest room amenities.

To celebrate the opening of the club floors in April 2011, Langham Place Beijing Capital Airport is offering an introductory half price club sale, with a 50 percent discount off the normal club fee. This offer is available for bookings and stays before 30 June 2011. Club Rooms start from RMB 1,212 per room per night.
