Haute Event: Jewish Family and Children’s Services of San Francisco Awards Gala

The Jewish Family and Children’s Services of San Francisco held its 27th annual Fammy Awards Gala on Saturday, March 26 at the Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco. The evening honored members of the community whose stories have helped to inspire others to give selflessly. This year’s honorees, which included former JFCS client Lida Clebaner and Holocaust survivor Hedy Kradnobrod, have proven to have generous hearts that don’t stop giving.

This year’s Board’s Distinguished Humanitarian Service award was presented to San Francisco philanthropist, psychologist and JFCS Board of Director, Dr. Ingrid Tauber. Her charitable work worldwide includes the new JFCS Holocaust center and the Tauber Holocaust Library and Education program, both reflecting her vision of spreading knowledge to future generations.

In cooperation with Dr. Tauber, both Lisa and John Pritzker helped establish the globally applauded Child Trauma Training Institute, which works to guarantee the best possible care for distressed children by schooling mental health professionals in early intervention.

The Fammy Awards Gala is JFCS’ largest fundraising event of the year. A night filled with delicious food, fabulous silent auction, and dancing with Pamela Rose, proved to be a huge sensation.
