Haute Event: DVF Shopping Soiree with Bag Snob, Tina Craig and Krystal Schlegel

Online fashion blogging trailblazer Bag Snob, Tina Craig and socialite-cum-blogger and trendsetter, Krystal Schlegel are hosting a fashionable fete on Tuesday, April 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the newly opened Diane Von Furstenberg store in Highland Park Village. The duo invite guests to survey the latest spring looks and peruse the freshest accessories of the season. While sipping on champagne, be sure to try your luck and enter to win the bag of the season, the Harper Daybag handbag or walk away in a new pair of shoes from the spring collection. Shop for a cause and 5 percent of the evening’s sales will benefit the Backpack Program for the North Texas Food Bank.

While one in four Texas children lives in a food insecure household, the Backpack Program helps these children fight hunger over the weekend when they have no access to meals prepared at school.  The program provides backpacks full of nonperishable, kid-friendly, nutritious food to chronically hungry children on Friday afternoons to last throughout the weekend. The program currently serves over 325 schools in 32 schools districts across Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Hunt, Rockwall, and Kaufman counties.  So shop ‘till you drop and feel good for helping the hungry.
