Crumpets and Couture: Celebrate the Royal Wedding in Royal Fashion

High fashion meets high tea on the Royal Wedding Day on Friday, April 29 at 3:00 pm at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago with “Crumpets and Couture” – an afternoon tea and fashion show featuring the collections of London retailers Karen Millen and soon-to-open L.K.Bennett (the first store to open in the States, of which Kate Middleton is a fan). If you missed the 4:30 am live broadcast of the Royal Wedding, the fashion tea will feature coverage of the Royal Wedding festivities and nuptials on large flat screens in Seasons restaurant on the 7th level.
Smashing London fashion will be on parade featuring ready-to-wear occasion dresses, accessories, handbags and more from the two London-based retailers. Guests will enjoy tea, a Laurent-Perrier Rosé champagne toast to Prince William and Kate Middleton, and an English-inspired tea menu especially prepared by Executive Chef Kevin Hickey, who once served on the culinary team at Four Seasons London Canary Wharf. Menu selections include; crumpets, fresh baked scones, whipped double Devon cream and preserves, tea sandwiches, tea bread and pastries.

In addition, guests will receive a British-inspired swag bag as well as an opportunity to win a Royal Fashion Retreat featuring an overnight stay at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, a $500 shopping spree to 900 North Michigan Shops, a 50-min signature massage from Mario Tricoci Hair Salon and Day Spa, and a complimentary style consultation from juliewatsonstyle.

Tea time begins promptly at 3:00 p.m. and cost is $55 per person (including one glass of Laurent-Perrier Rosé champagne).
