Haute Spot: New Porsche Design Store Rolls Into San Francisco
Porsche, a name synonymous with classic luxury, has reved up the wow factor here in San Francisco. Under the Porsche Design brand, a high-adrenaline accessories store on Grant Street near Union Square has opened and offers a full range of Porsche Design products.
“San Francisco is an important location for our brand,” sayd Dr. Juergen Gessler, CEO of Porsche Design Group. “The people living here are creative types that support and seek out good design.”
Porsche Design products blend fashion with function, and add the splash of international swagger that only the prestigious Porsche name can deliver. Quality luggage, pens, sunglasses, watches, home electronics, and small leather goods have been a part of Porsche Design’s product line for years, all of which are sold at the store along with the Porsche Design label’s chic selection of men’s and women’s fashion. Porsche Design boutiques are found all over the world, including Europe, Asia and Australia. This is the first Porsche Design store in Northern California.
The Porsche Design Studio was established in Stuttgart, Germany in 1972 by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, grandson of the Porsche founder and designer of the Porsche 911, the quintessential sports car turned iconic classic. Like the car, the accessories are timeless and functional, characterized by innovation, and imbued with a style that gives new meaning to the word ‘racey’.
Porsche Design is located at 100 Grant Street.
