Why she loves Miami: “The beach, the weather, the energy? I can’t choose one! Miami is the perfect mix of an idyllic resort community and an international, cosmopolitan city. I am very fortunate to live here.”

Miami native Vanessa Grout is an attorney, real estate investment manager for the real estate arm of Vector Group Ltd. (a NYSE company), and new President of Douglas Elliman Florida. She signed on with the 100-year-old real estate brokerage last year; and although the real estate giant  is a New York-based real estate firm, the company is now working with Grout to expand in the South Florida market. Grout explains, “You can see that New Yorkers make up a higher percentage of Miami’s real estate deals. And Douglas Elliman is a name they know and a name they trust.”

Grout is working to bring the kind of presence Douglas Elliman holds in New York to Miami Beach, where the company has opened an office in the new landmark 1111 Lincoln Road building, in addition to two other South Beach locations.
