Haute Event: Milk & Cookies at Active Ride
Think art is child’s play? Find out yourself at Active Ride, where this Saturday, March 12, the store will be hosting a Milk & Cookies event from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. In addition to the art exhibition, the event will debut TOMS launch of the Kids for Kids collection, which continues their One for One promise of providing a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair purchased.
During the event, visitors can view the collaboration pieces created by nine world-renowned artists and their own kids, as well as a varied exhibition of pieces from students at the Anneliese Schools in Orange County through a unique collaboration with Seeds Arts and Education, Inc. In addition to those works, there will also be artwork created by 16 other child artists on display at the exhibit. All of the pieces will be on display in a gallery adjacent to the Lion Fountain just steps away from Active Ride.
Pieces will be available for purchase during the event and all proceeds will be donated to both Seeds Arts and Education, Inc. and the JLA Project. In addition to all the visual art, musical guests Summer Watson and the Hindu Pirates will perform. But what’s an event called Milk & Cookies without a few snacks. Of course, refreshments will be served and the debut of TOMS shoes for kids is definitely something to celebrate.
Active Ride Shop Marketing Director, Brent Futagaki adds, “The Milk & Cookies Art Show is about the kids, they are our future and we need to encourage and inspire them. We are very excited to have TOMS shoes involved with this event, and are looking forward to celebrating the launch of the new Kids for Kids collection with our customers.”
