Haute Dining: AZUL at Mandarin Oriental, Miami names Chef Joel Huff New Chef de Cuisine

It has just been announced that the famed restaurant Azul at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami has hired a brand new Chef de Cuisine: Chef Joel Huff.

Chef Huff studied at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena, California, and boasts a resume that includes Tydes Restaurant and Coral Café in Santa Barbara; Saam at The Bazaar by José Andrés in Beverly Hills; Minibar by José Andrés in Washington DC; and Chef de Cuisine at Silks restaurant at Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco and Asiate at Mandarin Oriental, New York.

“Given his success with working among culinary icons and experience at our award-winning sister properties, Chef Huff’s cuisine is sure to delight the palates of our discerning guests and food enthusiasts,“ Jorge Gonzalez, Mandarin Oriental, Miami’s vice president and general manager said.

Chef Huff will debut a brand new and revamped menu at the restaurant at the end of the month. “The abundance of fresh ingredients found in South Florida is what will drive me in the process of creating the menu at Azul,” Huff explained.
