New York Fashion Week: Custo Barcelona Fall 2011 Runway Show

On Sunday evening, it was finally time for the highly anticipated Custo Barcelona Fall 2011 runway show. I had had the opportunity to attend their Spring 2011 Runway Show back in September and was absolutely blown away by the collection. The creative genius that comes with each collection–one intricate and awe-inspiring piece after the other.

The Fall 2011 collection was just as beautiful and alluring as last season’s. A mixture of fabrics, textures, and patterns combined to create some of the most interesting pieces to walk down the Lincoln Center runway. The beginning’s focus was on neturals–beiges, ecrus, pale pinks–but just when we thought that Custo had resigned from their traditional bright color palette, the prints and graphics began to emerge on dresses, leggings, sweaters and more.

Custo Barcelona continues to make wave in the world of fashion–over-stepping traditional boundaries and entering into a design realm entirely of their own.
