Insider’s Guide to San Francisco

Brandy Kuentzel

The Stats: Born in Southern California; Grew up in Anchorage, Alaska; Currently lives in San Francisco.

Why She Loves San Francisco: “San Francisco is one of the most beautiful, progressive cities in the world, and it is surrounded by gorgeous state and national parks and wine country. Each day, I feel so fortunate to call San Francisco my home.”

Millions gathered around their TVs, waiting to see to whom big name entrepreneur Donald Trump would say the infamous “Your fired!” line in the tenth season of Apprentice–and fortunately it wasn’t Brandy Kuentzel. She was announced the winner and took on the role of Donald Trump’s protégé. Brandy was very ambitious as a teen; she graduated valedictorian of her high school, while also playing varsity sports, working multiple part-time jobs and volunteering at the local animal shelter. While earning her Bachelor’s in Political Science from UCLA and studying abroad at the University of Tasmania, Australia, she financed her education through several jobs including positions at the California State Senate and the Parliament of Tasmania. But she still remained committed to the community serving as a tutor and mentor for underprivileged youths in Los Angeles. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School while also being involved in working to provide pro bono legal services to entrepreneurs. Additionally, she tutored elementary students in Chicago. She spent her summers working in New York at a prominent investment bank and in California at a prestigious law firm. After law school, she relocated to San Francisco as a corporate attorney. After three years, she co-founded the first mobile cupcake business, “Sweet Ride”, in San Francisco.
