Freya Simms knows a thing or two about art, especially the business side of it.

Her career first started in the art and luxury world as press officer for Christie’s Fine Art auctioneers. She has also worked in-house for Bonhams and Sotheby’s, where she rose to become Head of Marketing, Press, & Special Events in 2002.

She quickly earned her spurs at art specialist, Cawdwell Douglas, and returned to agency life eight years later, going to Focus PR, where she was an Associate Director working across art and luxury brands including the Fine Art and Antiques Fair at Olympia, The British Council, The Affordable Art Fair, Clarion Retail, and Ceramic Art London. She was later hired by Clarion in 2005 to be the Fair Director.

She later set up Muse, a division of Gong Communications in April 2010. This company is a strategic communications company for the art and luxury sector.
