Haute Event: The Actor’s Express Celebrates Carnivale

Take a trip to Rio de Janeiro next Friday without having to enter a body scanner, courtesy of the Actor’s Express. The 23-year-old theater celebrates carnivale at their annual fundraising gala.

As guests enter the Gallery at King Plow Arts Center they will leave Atlanta behind and be transported to the vibrant streets of Rio filled with live music, dancers and street performers. While enjoying the sultry South American atmosphere, guests will be invited to have their fortunes told, document their decadent experience via photo booth and participate in a raffle and silent auction. While revelers sip cocktails and snack on hors d’oeuvres, guests in the VIP area will take their carnivale experience to new heights with burlesque performances by Minette Magnifique.

Carnivale begins next Friday at 8 p.m. at the Gallery at King Plow Arts Center. With ticket prices ranging from $60-$150. For more information and to purchase tickets go to www.actors-express.com.
