On Thursday night, the stars shined on Colombostile’s “Creativity Without Boundaries” soiree. This annual event has staged itself to be the social highlight of Valentine’s Day weekend for designers and celebrities alike inclduing Adriana De Moura of The Real Housewives of Miami on Bravo and Dave Crystal, Mayoral candidate for Miami Beach. The evening was a combination of Italy meets Asia and all the festivities benefit Joshua’s Heart Foundation and In Dogs We Trust.
Haute Living and other distinguished guests were treated to the exclusive introduction of Colombostile’s special edition Swarovski Collection designed by Carlo Rampazzi. The President of Colombostile, Giovanni Amaroso, flew in from Italy specifically for the U.S. presentation of the collection, which is embellished with the Swarovski CrystallizedTM elements.
The evening was a feast for the senses, as guests entered the Zen-inspired atrium, they took in the Asian artwork on display. They drank Aperol Spritzers and ate Tuscan Canapés and other culinary highlights all prepared by Executive Chef Andrea Menichetti of Vino & Olio Restaurant and delighted in conversation as they were able to touch the one of kind pieces that Colombostile is renowned for. Hearts melted for the puppies longing to be adopted; and the smell of deep wood from the elaborate boiserie and detailed carvings on display permeated throughout the showroom.
The atrium was curated by Art Lexing, the first gallery in Florida that is dedicated to museum quality Asian art. The night’s guests had the rare opportunity to enjoy some of the works that have been shown in MOMA–NY, Tate–London, Victoria and Albert Museum–London, and recently at Art Basel.
Inside the showroom, renowned Italian Maestro Roberto Altmann prepared a one-of-a-kind installation where he painted a gold and silver frame directly on the wall to highlight his latest offering “Corporea.” The evening was a plethora of inspiring design, art and furnishings to fuel the creativity of all the architects, interior designers and collectors in attendance.
