Haute Event: Barneys San Francisco Hosts Carven Designer, Guillaume Henry’s Spring 2011 Trunk Show

Paris; the city of love, lights, and high fashion. Guillaume Henry, the young french designer who has been chosen to revive the Parisian fashion house of Carven, recently held a Spring 2011 trunk show Barneys New York in San Francisco. The event had a great turn out, especially during the time of the meet-and-greet with Henry himself.  He presented his latest collection, which later turned out into some of his best garments to be bought instantly. As a way to give back to the community, 10 percent of the proceeds went to the Peninsula Humane Society.

Later that evening, he was honored at a dinner hosted by Barneys’ Creative Ambassador-at-Large Simon Doonan and Vanessa Getty.

Since re-launching the Carven line two seasons, Henry’s fan base has grown by the hundreds. Some of the celebrities that been seen wearing some of his pieces on the red carpet are Leighton Meester, Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Emma Watson. For all his hard work, Simon Doonan and Vanessa Getty held a dinner for him at Boulettes Larder. Some in attendance were Denise Hale, Ali Pincus, Kater Harbin, Summer Tompkins, Gina Pell, Elizabeth Touw, Carol Bonnie, Vandy Boudreau, Victoire Reynal, Nicola Miner, and Jeana Toney.
