Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1931 Debuts in North America
Yesterday afternoon, Swiss luxury watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre hosted an exclusive lunch in New York City at Casa Lever to introduce the latest addition to their iconic Reverso timepiece collection — the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin. Jaeger-LeCoultre North America’s President Philippe Bonay was joined by Golden Globe nominee Jon Hamm to celebrate the occasion.
The Grande Reverso Ultra Thin is undoubtedly exquisite, yet at the same time surprisingly simple. With a fully handcrafted Reverso Calibre 822 at less than 3-mm wide, the case was designed ultra-sleek and slim, resulting in a practical, lightweight and comfortable modern wristwatch. The Grand Reverso Ultra Thin is said to truly embody the “essence of the Reverso personality: a blend of tradition and nobility embodying an alliance of style and elegance.”
As a special addition to the Ultra Thin collection, Jaeger-LeCoultre has created two limited-edition Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931 pieces; one in steel, the other in 18-karat pink gold, each featuring a black or white dial with its hands and hour-markers resembling the original Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece from 1931. The limited-edition timepieces are said to embody “all the Art Deco charm of the first Reversos, [but] interpreted in today’s language.”
