Desert Botanical Garden Kicks Off Winter Concert Series

The Desert Botanical Garden is ready to celebrate Arizona’s cool season with outdoor concerts by some of the best bands and musicians the Valley has to offer.

Get ready for the DBG’s “Music in the Garden” Winter 2011 Concert Series, taking place every Sunday from 12 to 2 p.m., Jan. 9 through Feb. 20. at Ullman Terrace. Admission is $15 for garden members, $21 for the general public, and $8 for children ages 3 through 12, and tickets can be purchased online through the DBG site.

The “Music in the Garden” schedule will be as follows:

Jan. 9 – The Surfside IV (retro rock, surfer)
Jan. 23 – Junction 10 (roots music, country)
Jan. 30 – Mario Moreno (vintage rock, swing)
Feb. 6 – Traveler (Mediterranean, world beat)
Feb. 13 – Fuerza Caribe (mamba, salsa, bachata)
Feb. 20 – Big Nick and the Gila Monsters (blues, Chicago soul)
