Need a little break from the winter chill? There’s no better way to warm up than a hearty good meal. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is introducing their new winter prix-fixe menu, making it as easy as 1-2-3 to get some great eats. And with wine pairing chosen by the restaurant’s director of wine, you can be sure you’re getting great pours to go with your top of the line cuts.
Executive Chef Russel Skall put together the options for the winter prix-fixe to emphasize bold and original flavors, which is a cornerstone of Fleming’s Steakhouse, which you’re sure to know as soon as you get a taste of their famed F17 sauce. The meal begins with the choice of mushroom soup or the roasted pear and candied walnut salad, which are both exceptionally rich in flavor and highlight great winter ingredients. Next, diners can choose between the bistro steak (pictured above) with rratatouille and cabernet butter sauce or a crackling pork shank accompanied by mashed sweet potatoes with Asian barbecue glaze. To take the guesswork out of wine pairing, Director of Wine Marian Jansen op de Haar provides full-bodied wine selections for each entree, a 2005/2006 Chateau Greysac from Medoc, France for the beef option and a 2008 Von Buhl riesling from Germany for the pork option.
For dessert, Chef Skall has a chocolate mousse cake topped with almond brittle and crème anglaise. Whichever option you choose for your appetizer and entree, the chocolate mousse cake is sure to be a excellent way to end the night and send you off with a full stomach and nothing but warm cozy feelings.
