Atmosphere, the World’s Highest Restaurant Opens in the Burj Khalifa

News | January 28, 2011

Imagine sipping a nice glass of wine while eating elegantly prepared gourmet specialties on the 122th floor of the world’s tallest building. This daydream is now possible at Atmosphere, the sophisticated restaurant in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa located at the height of 442 meters which just opened this past week.

With display cooking stations, a chief dining floor, a large arrival lobby, delicious international cuisine, and the highest views of Dubai, this unique and special restaurant has already enlivened the eyes of Dubai residents. The name “Atmosphere” refers to the height of the restaurant’s location; it is stationed so high on top the Burj Khalifa that it is, metaphorically, in atmosphere.

The restaurant was designed by renowned hotel designer Adam Tihany and is decorated with Tihany furniture, mahogany walls and ceilings, hand-tufted carpet and floors of cafe colored limestone. With the possibility to seat up to 210 guests in an elegant 1,030 square meter world-class restaurant, Atmosphere is, simply put, on a floor of its own.
