Prada Lovers Shop for a Cause

News | December 5, 2010

On November 18, 2010, guests gathered at the Prada store in San Francisco’s Union Square to do some early holiday shopping to support a great cause. The chic cocktail party, hosted by Vandy Boudreau, Kathryn Freeman, Jenna Hunt, Ann-Ferrell Millham, and Summer Tompkins Walker, was held to raise funds for the Children of Shelters charity.

The mission of San Francisco based Children of Shelters organization is to provide for the educational and emotional needs of the estimated 4,000 children living in or being served by transitional shelters in San Francisco. By funding tutoring, activities that enhance self-esteem, and college tuition assistance, their grants support Bay Area youths’ academic achievement and character development. Children of Shelters believe education and self-esteem are keys to breaking the cycle of poverty for children.

Event attendees perused the Prada goodies while sipping on complimentary cocktails and enjoying bite-sized hors d’oeuvres. The event was a sophisticated and jovial affair to raise funds and awareness for a wonderful San Francisco charity.
