Haute Event: Don’t Miss the Dubai International Film Festival

Now on until the 19th of December, the Dubai Film Festival is the leading film festival in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. The event serves as an exciting platform for the foremost Arab filmakers and regional talent to showcase their creations and innovative vision to the public.

This year marks the seventh year anniversary of DIFF as it continues to highlight emerging and established talent in the region. This year’s event also extends its platform to feature films from creative professionals in Asia and Africa.

DIFF 2010 unveils 157 films from 57 nations including a large range of Chinese movies. “Bridging Cultures, Meeting Minds” is this year’s themes and aims to give the carpet mostly to young directors and a multinational audience.

International film star Sean Penn will attend the event and win an award for his life achievement as well as show a new production of his own entitled “Into the Wild.”
