Baja Brunch: SOL Cocina’s New Brunch Menu
You’re already a fan of SOL Cocina’s Sunday brunch, right? What’s not to love about their bottomless mimosas and the killer Baja California infused cuisine? Well it’s getting better thanks to Chef Deborah Schneider’s newest twist to the brunch routine. Visit this spicy spot for her fresh take on brunch and you’ll be hard pressed to head to any other spot for your Sunday morning meal.
Not everything’s changed though. For SOL Sunday brunch die-hards, there’s still the bottomless mimosa and an endless glass of fresh orange juice and sparkling wine in addition to the famed SOL Premium Margarita Bar, where guests can create custom margaritas from fresh & premium ingredients for only $9. But there’s a whole new spread for you to try when it comes to your brunch entrees. With all the new items it’ll take more than one visit to try them all, and we definitely don’t blame you.
For a real south of the border spin on breakfast, try the new huevos dishes, huevos ranchers, which have fried eggs over easy, on corn tortillas with refried black beans topped with fresh tomato salsa ranchera, roasted poblanos chiles, cheese & avocado or the huevos divorciados, butter-fried eggs topped with salsa verde and roasted tomato salsa on fried corn tortillas with beans smothered in melted cheese, crema and pork chicharron.
If that’s not enough, there’s a new breakfast burrito and breakfast enchiladas, but for the truly hungry, an order of the Papas Papi, potatoes smothered in cheese and chorizo, chiles and more will definitely hit the spot. Pair all that with the ocean view and all the other great food on SOL’s menu and you’ve got a sweet spot you’ll never want to leave.
SOL Cocina is located at 251 E. Pacific Coast Hwy. in Newport Beach. For reservations or more information, call 949.675.9800 or visit their website at www.solcocina.com.
