Art Affair: Art & Wine Wednesdays at the St. Regis
Cabernet or Chagall? That’s the question for you. But the answer? It’s both. Whether you’re into art or the art of oenology, you’ll be please to know both will be on display at the St. Regis on Jan. 5 at the first Art & Wine Wednesday of 2011. So forget about stuffy museums and the frills of a wine tasting. Take in two events with one visit to the spectacular resort.
During The St. Regis Monarch Beach’s Art & Wine Wednesday events, guests and locals alike are invited to forgo the trappings of traditional wine tasting events and forget about the drive up to wine country. Jan. 5th — and the first Wednesday of each month after — the Wine Cellar plays host to entertainment and the combination of wine and art. Daniel Grajewski, the expert sommelier at the St. Regis, will work with the Linearis Institute to choose three to five fine wines to be paired with the original artwork on display at the resort.
After the event, guests can take time to enjoy another combo, chef Michael Mina and world-renowned designer Tony Chi with dinner at Stonehill Tavern, The St. Regis Monarch Beach’s neighborhood eatery.
Available for $20 per person with a reservation at Stonehill Tavern or $40 per person a la carte, Art & Wine Wednesdays are an easy and interesting way to spend quality time with friends, family or your significant other this holiday season.
The St. Regis Monarch Beach is located at One Monarch Beach Resort, in Dana Point. For more information, call 949.234.3200 or visit www.stregismb.com.
