Tommy Hilfiger has established himself as a world-known prep master throughout the course of his career. Next summer, he is offering elegant ladies and gentleman a modern twist on classic style.
Naming his winter collection Preppy with a Pop, he introduced himself as a renovated Tommy; his preppy has now become ultra-chic. Looking at his summer 2011 collection, it is inevitable to fall in love with the looks he presented. A great mix and match of basic, classic pieces with a sexy modern touch. Peter Som has consulted his two latest collections, creating a collaboration of designers made in fashion heaven. The pair seems to have taken inspiration form modern prep queens such as Olivia Palermo. I can perfectly imagine the New York socialite wearing all of the looks he showed, so beautiful. So now it is time to imagine you at your favorite summer spot looking your best.
For those of you living in the never-ending Miami summer, I recommend to take a close look at his spring/summer 2011 collection. The color palette is very classy and appealing; divine tones of blue, splashes of bright red here and there, sunny yellows, romantic shades of pink, and my all-time summer favorite, white. I strongly advice to visit a Hilfiger store and take a look at this garments first hand, as they loose most of their charm in the pictures. The models look great, but it is the touch and movement of the fabric, as well as the detailing, what make this collection great beyond question.
Deck yourself out in Tommy Hilfiger and everybody will be admiring your style. Preppy-chic has never looked so good.
