Stephen Webster’s Seven Deadly Sins Launch Party
Last night, jeweler Stephen Webster and his Russian-born wife Anastasia took Muscovites to a mysterious decadent world, unveiling Webster latest collection of rings titled Seven Deadly Sins.
Each of seven rings symbolized one of the human vices: pride, envy, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath and lust. All the rings in this collection are handmade. For the rings were chosen stones such as: tanzanite, peridot, fire opal, aquamarine, amethyst, red garnet and diamonds. The rings are exclusive. About his idea of creating such rings, the designer said: “In the context of the 21st century, the idea of the seven deadly sins can not be delightful, while no longer punishable by death. And everyone knows that each of the sins it represents, but not everyone knows about each of the penalties in hell from the old devil, and that every sin is characterized by a certain color. It’s time to go back to the original idea of sin, but this time in terms of jewelry.”
Webster’s new jewelery line themed launch party in Moscow was an encompassing experience from the minute the guests peered in. To give the party an authentic charm, each of the seven sins was visually illustrated: gluttony was represented with myriads of colorful cupcakes, strawberry and cream symbolized lust. The ambiance of the event highlighted once again what Stephen Webster is renowned for: high luxe glamour with a rock and edge.
