Last week’s 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show brought together some of biggest names in luxury cars. From vintage classics to limited edition supercars, it was certainly a celebration for the crème de la crème of the automobile industry.
On Nov. 18, at a special event in Beverly Hills, Rolls-Royce announced their newest collaboration with world famous designer Bijan Pakzad (aka Bijan). The announcement was made outside of Bijan’s Rodeo Drive boutique, where Bijan proudly displayed his own Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe, which has been a fixture of his storefront for years.
At more than $1 million each, only about 30 of these customized yellow Phantoms that bear Bijan’s signature design will be available. (The particular shade of yellow also happens to be Bijan’s favorite color.) In these limited edition models, Bijan will create the design elements that will then be duplicated by Rolls-Royce’s skilled manufacturers in England. The first of the Bijan models will be presented in the spring of 2011.
