Need an Escape? Embark on a Wine Journey Around the World

No time to get the jet out of storage? Fake it (I know, we typically don’t preach such a thing), but sometimes just a one-hour escape is all you need to clear your head from a long day at the office.

The scene is the beautiful and historic Palmer House Hilton. The Bar at Lockwood, located in the Lobby of the property, will introduce The Regional Wine Journey —an exploration of the world’s most thriving wine destinations. The series of bi-weekly classes will be held every other Thursday through February 2011 hosted by Wine Director Sasa Sinanagic. Each class will feature a different region while focusing on the history and individual fermenting process native to that region. The classes run from 7-8 pm and include pairings with a selection of charcuterie, cheese and other various accompaniments.

The following schedule will explore various wine regions to include:

November 18, 2010: Burgundy
December 2, 2010: Southern Italy
December 16, 2010: Northern Italy
January 6, 2011: Argentina & Chile
January 20, 2011: New Zealand & Australia
February 3, 2011: Eastern Europe
February 17, 2011: Spain & Portugal
