Kristin’s Cause: Kristin Davis’ Christian Louboutin Charity Event
For a girl who’s best known role is Sex and the City’s prim and proper Charlotte York, it was surprising that one of her passions lies in Africa’s elephants. Far removed the glitz, glamour and girliness of her character, Kirstin Davis’ work with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust brought her to the Christian Louboutin boutique (a bastion of glorious girlishness) to help raise awareness for her cause.
Clad in a pair of custom rhinestone-encrusted Louboutin heels (naturally), Davis greeted guests and described her work with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which rehabilitates and releases elephants found in various sites around Kenya to safer environs in Nairobi. Chic and sophisticated in bow-top and full skirt, she dazzled the crowd as they browsed shoe maestro Louboitin’s latest collection and classic offerings.
Small bites were provided by neighboring nosh spot Marche Moderne, just steps away from the boutique in South Coast Plaza’s Penthouse and there was plenty of bubbly to be had as Davis graciously met with everyone from avid Louboutin die-hards to fans of her show. A percentage of the night’s proceeds went to benefit the Trust, and with so many boxes being carried out that night, the African elephants can rest easier knowing that the well-heeled ladies of Orange County (and men, too — superstar stylist Kim Vo was spotted carrying out a pair of the designer’s mens’ offerings for himself) are helping out and looking fabulous.
