Haute Secrets Las Vegas: Michael Boychuck
Haute Secrets Las Vegas
Name: Michael Boychuck
The stats: Born in New York; lived in Las Vegas for 12 years, currently in Green Valley.
Why he loves Las Vegas: Any time, day or night, there’s always something to do here.
When it comes to celebrity colorists, Michael Boychuck may just be the biggest in Las Vegas. See, Boychuck doesn’t style your hair or cut it; he focuses only on color. And the color he does is a-maz-ing. Boychuck can take you from blonde to blonder, add highlights in just the right spot that look natural and give you a look that suits your complexion.
He has three signature salons in Las Vegas: Amp Salon at the Palms, Primp Salon at Palms Place and Color Salon at Caesars Palace. Look next to you and you may just see a celebrity such as Paris and Nicky Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Eva Longoria, Kirsten Dunst, Fergie, Mandy Moore, Britney Spears, Jennie Garth, Willa Ford, Shannon Doherty, Donna D’Errico, Josie Bissett, Lorraine Braccho, Kathy Hilton and Susan Anton getting their hair primped.
It all started when he first moved to Las Vegas nearly 12 years ago to open a branch of Laurent D’s Beverly Hills salon Prive at Bellagio. Then he moved on to direct the Salon at Canyon Ranch at the Venetian for several years. That lead to a partnership with George Maloof at the Palms in 2001, where Boychuck opened Amp, a laid-back salon in the midst of celebrities.
His opulent Color Salon opened in 2007 and features sumptuous designs from Faye Resnick. When Palms Place opened, he added to his kingdom with Primp, a minimalistic salon.
Look for Hairdreams extensions, Kerastase Paris and Oribe Hair Care and Boychuck’s signature rock star hair when you visit him.
